Celebrating the Launch of the Friends of Monticello Parks and Recreation Youth Scholarship Fund

Last Updated 8/28/2024

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Friends of Monticello Parks and Recreation Youth Scholarship Fund! This initiative is a testament to the strength and generosity of our community, ensuring that all children have the opportunity to participate in our parks and recreation programs.

Families in our community can now apply for up to $100 per child to be used for any of our programs, including basketball (currently open), baseball, softball, and even swimming lessons. This scholarship is designed to remove financial barriers, making it possible for more children to stay active, learn new skills, and have fun with their peers.

This program would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of several key individuals. We extend our deepest thanks to Deb Bowman, Callie Smith, Keeley Mardorf, and Cydney Smith for their efforts in putting this scholarship program together. Your commitment to our community’s youth is truly inspiring.

We also want to express our gratitude to Madonna Hough, Judy Tuetken, Whitney Kraus, and Leanna Husmann for their tireless efforts in engaging with local businesses to support our banner program. The funds raised through this program have been instrumental in making the scholarship fund a reality.

A special thank you goes out to the businesses and individuals who have generously supported this initiative:
